Our businesses in France
Renewables & electricity
In France, we are a major producer of renewable electricity from our solar power plants, windfarms, hydropower facilities, combined-cycle power plants and biomethane units across the country.
Our affiliate Maxeon Solar Technologies Ltd operates two solar panel manufacturing plants in the country.
Lastly, our affiliate Saft operates three plants in Bordeaux, Poitiers and Nersac (near Angoulême).
We maintain our expertise in solar technology through several strategic partnerships with academia and research institutes.
Gas & green gas
In France, we have entered into a cooperation agreement with Engie to design, develop, build and operate the Masshylia project, the largest renewable hydrogen production facility located at our La Mède biorefinery in the Bouches-du-Rhône region.
We also have reserved regasification capacities at the Fosmax, Dunkerque LNG and Montoir-de-Bretagne terminals.
Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products
In France, we operate three refining facilities: the Normandy complex, the Donges refinery and the Feyzin complex.
We also operate the La Mède biorefinery. We are currently transforming our Grandpuits site into a zero-crude platform for biofuels and bioplastics.
We are also active in biotechnology research through several partnerships with academia and research institutes.
We operate the Carling Saint-Avold complex, the Company's European center for hydrocarbon resins, and we are shareholders in the Lavéra petrochemical site.
We operate a large network of pipelines for transporting products between the various production sites, and we have several storage depots.
Lastly, our affiliate Hutchinson operates several plants in France.
In France, our affiliate GreenFlex provides customers with a range of energy performance services, from designing their strategies through to delivering operational support.
With our customers
In France, we supply natural gas and electricity to our business customers, and we offer sustainable mobility and transport solutions with marine LNG, compressed natural gas and the installation of EV charge points.
We also operate a network of approximately 250 AS24 service stations, serving long-haul truckers.
Lastly, we retail solutions designed by our affiliates Hutchinson and Saft, as well as specialty, petroleum and petrochemical products.
In France, we have a network of more than 3,000 service stations, including NGV stations (natural gas for vehicles), where we retail our fuel and products, and offer related services. In addition, we are gradually equipping our network with ultra-fast and fast charge points.
In terms of electric mobility, we also operate the public network of electric charge points in the City of Paris.
Finally, we are a major player in the natural gas and electricity retail sector for our residential customers.
