Essential to successfully achieving the energy transition, electricity demand is expected to grow strongly(1), as decarbonization lies at the heart of the roadmaps of countries committed to carbon neutrality by 2050. To meet this demand, Integrated Power, the second pillar of the Company’s strategy, is developing an integrated model covering the entire value chain, from electricity generation to sales and trading activities.

Solar and wind: our ambition in renewable energies
Two challenges are shaping the future of global energy: climate change and growing energy demand. Setting the ambition of achieving carbon neutrality, together with society, means taking these realities into account by investing decisively in renewables, particularly solar and onshore and offshore wind power—fast-growing energy sources with many advantages: abundant, clean, modular, efficient and competitive.
