CDP Discloser 2025

The CDP is a not-for-profit organization that runs a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Since 2002, the CDP has conducted an annual survey to collect the corresponding data and information. This survey includes a specific oil & gas section since 2010.

TotalEnergies has been responding to the CDP's annual survey since 2003 and publishes its answers on the CDP's website.

In 2025 (reporting period: 1st january – 31st december 2024), TotalEnergies reported on the following themes:

  • climate change, and
  • water security.

TotalEnergies received an "A-" score since 2017(1). However, since CDP introduced a new criterion in 2025 preventing oil and gas companies involved in exploring new fields from achieving leadership level (and therefore a rating of “A” or “A-”), the Company decided this year to respond to the questionnaire without requesting a rating. A score capped to “B” would not fully reflect our integrated and balanced multi-energy strategy which combines profitable growth and sustainable development. For more information, please refer to the Sustainability & Climate 2025 Progress Report.

(1) With the exception of the Water Security 2022 questionnaire for which the company received a grade of “B”.
