TotalEnergies is informed of uses of its name, name of its entities or identity of its employees, for fraudulent purposes.
These frauds may in particular concern:
- commercial offers, such as false material orders, made by alleged employees of our entities in charge of purchasing;
- bogus job or service offers;
- false financial investments with very attractive returns, particularly in relation to renewable energies;
- fictitious advice, invitations or offers to purchase TotalEnergies shares at a reduced price, in particular via social network accounts, unsolicited telephone calls, e-mails or fraudulent websites;
- false commercial offers related to the supply of energy or fuel cards.
We therefore recommend that you exercise the greatest vigilance before entering into any contract or other commitment, particularly by checking domain names (email address or website), social network accounts or telephone number used, which are deliberately misleading.
With regard to financial scams that take place in France, French Authorities (Autorité des Marchés Financiers, AMF) warns of an upsurge in fraudulent offers of investments and various financial services intended for the public, which may take the form of the usurpation of the name of listed companies and/or their employees.
