The Dunkirk facility, commissioned last December, is the largest battery energy storage site in France. Because renewables are intermittent by nature, the energy has to be stored when produced for distribution during periods when the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow. For this reason, the Company is developing turnkey energy storage solutions.
