TotalEnergies & shipping: a growing fleet of LNG bunker vessels
World map positioning the operational ships and the one under construction
Four supply hubs:
- Rotterdam (Gas Agility),
- Marseille-Fos (Gas Vitality),
- Singapour (Brassavola),
- The future ship potentially deployed in Oman: "It could notably be deployed in Oman, where the Company is developing the Marsa LNG project, which will supply LNG for maritime transport in the Gulf."
Focus on the new ship
- Owned by Ibaizabal
- It will supply marine LNG to a wide range of vessels (container ships, tankers, cruise ships, ferries...) from TotalEnergies' LNG bunkering hubs
- It meets the highest technical and environmental standards
- A capacity of 18,600 m3
The environmental benefits of LNG as marine fuel:
- Reduces greenhouse gas emissions from ships by up to around 20%
- Improves air quality by reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by up to 85% and eliminating sulfur oxide emissions by 99%
TotalEnergies and LNG:
- TotalEnergies is the third-largest integrated global LNG player (44 million tons sold in 2023) and the leading exporter in the United States (10 million tons sold in 2023)
- TotalEnergies is expanding its LNG production capabilities worldwide and aims for a 50% increase in volumes between 2023 and 2030
