In November 2022, TotalEnergies and Air Liquide announced a partnership to produce and valorize renewable, low-carbon hydrogen on the Grandpuits zero-crude platform. Find out more about the hydrogen production and valorization process in the infographic below.

Air Liquide will build and operate a hydrogen production unit (SMR) equipped with Cryocap CO2 capture technology on the Grandpuits platform. The captured CO2 will be reused in food and industrial applications. Most of the hydrogen produced will be renewable, thanks to the recycling of residual biogas from the Grandpuits biorefinery. The hydrogen will be used mainly by the Grandpuits biorefinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel from biowaste, and will also serve the needs of sustainable mobility in the Île-de-France region.
