05/27/2024

TotalEnergies is continuing its efforts to prevent road accidents with the second episode in its "I'm a #SafeDriver" campaign. Check out the best practices that three of the Company's employees have implemented to avoid fatigue and distractions behind the wheel.

Some of our employees and service providers spend several hours every day behind the wheel of a vehicle as part of their job. Our "I'm a #SafeDriver" series gives them chance to talk about the risks involved in driving and the best practices to ensure safe driving.

Drowsiness at the wheel is responsible for 20% of fatal road accidents*, and distractions for 25% of fatal accidents**. That is why we are focusing this second episode in our series on fatigue and distractions behind the wheel.

Fatigue and distractions behind the wheel: tips from Brianna, Nicola and Fernando

Take a 15-minute break every two hours, switch your phone to silent mode and put it away, ask any passengers to avoid talking to the person driving... Brianna, Nicola and Fernando, who all work for TotalEnergies, share their best practices for avoiding fatigue and distractions behind the wheel.

Find out more about #SafeDriver

Since 2016, TotalEnergies has been carrying out #SafeDriver awareness campaigns aimed at all TotalEnergies employees and those of its partner companies who use light and heavy vehicles in the course of their duties. The aim is to challenge users, to remind them of the basic rules of driving and the importance of respecting them, and to encourage change in practices and behavior, accompanying it with a participative approach and exchanges in the field.
