Marie-France Benassy, Head of Sustainability R&D Program & Platform: Methane is a greenhouse gas, with a warming potential thirty times greater than CO₂. The challenge to reduce methane levels in the atmosphere is contributing to efforts to mitigate global warming. We are at a pivoltal moment, with regulations being implemented in the United States and in Europe. We have already reduced 60% of our emissions since 2015. Our goal is -80% by 2030. TADI is an essential tool for testing all leak detection technologies. TADI, is a platform created in 2015. We have history and knowledge that few other operators possess. Because of this, the platform is unique in Europe. TADI is complementary to an American platform called METEC run by Colorado State University. TADI and METEC signed, under the aegies of the U.S. Department Energy and the European Commission, a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a protocol for testing methane measurement technologies. This will continue: the market will evolve, with new suppliers and technologies, and we will always be there to test them and improve our methane plan.
