TotalEnergies, a global LNG player
06/20/2018
The infographic presents the different projects worldwide in which TotalEnergies is positioned for the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG). TotalEnergies is expanding its LNG offer by varying its approach and projects.
On this world map, the light blue dots represent the sites where TotalEnergies is helping to support local companies in the production of LNG as a shareholder. In this sense, TotalEnergies supports a wide range of companies and countries in developing their LNG offer. The Company is present in Africa (Angola, Egypt, Mozambique, Nigeria), Asia-Pacific (Australia, Papua New Guinea), America (United States), Europe (Norway) and the Middle East (Oman, Qatar, Yemen). Several arrows point from the production sites to where the LNG is transported.
In addition to supporting LNG production, the dark blue dots on the map indicate the medium- and long-term supply projects in which TotalEnergies will participate. For the time being, the Company will be involved in projects in Algeria and the United States.
The yellow dots show the future medium- and long-term sales of LNG produced by TotalEnergies. These dots are mainly placed near ports where they will be shipped (Gangneung, Kitakyūshū, Piraeus, Mumbai, Panama, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Tangshan, Taipei, Valparaiso).
The orange dots on the map indicate the regasification terminals that are operational or planned by TotalEnergies. Most of these points are located near the coast because LNG is transported by sea. Most of these terminals are in Europe between the Atlantic and the North Sea. Other terminals are in India, Indonesia, Panama and Singapore.)
Finally, the green dots represent the marine bunkering hubs, showing the Company's commitment to making LNG bunkering capacity available in the main marine hubs. At present, these projects are being deployed in Marseille, Oman, Rotterdam and Singapore.
