TotalEnergies is a partner and title sponsor of the 10 main competitions of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) since 2016. Our objective? Share the passion and celebration of football, provide a friendly and emotional spectacle, and promote the values of the sport.
On 2016, TotalEnergies entered into an eight-year partnership with the CAF, the sport's governing body on the continent. Under the agreement, our Company became the title sponsor of the CAF's 10 main competitions, including the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), which has been renamed the Total Africa Cup of Nations and then the TotalEnergies AFCON. As well as being Africa's foremost sporting event, AFCON is the third-largest football tournament worldwide after the World Cup and the European Championship.
