I know that every day that I go to work, I’m bringing a product that’s truly proven viable and available today: renewable natural gas.

At Clean Energy, we are the largest provider of liquefied natural gas and now renewable natural gas in North America.

Back in 2018, TotalEnergies bought a 20% stake into our company.

In 2020, we created a 50-50 joint venture on biogas production.

Biogas, or Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), is a transportation fuel made from organic waste.

It’s different from a fossil compressed natural gas as we don’t have to drill or frack for it.

We’re capturing organic materials from landfills, dairy farms, anaerobic digesters, wastewater treatment plants...

It’s the lowest carbon emission fuel available today.

With TotalEnergies we’ve just finished a renewable natural gas plant in Texas.

We’re producing two million gallons of renewable natural gas at that dairy farm.

In 2022, we sold just shy of 200 million gallons of renewable natural gas, which is around 80% of our total fuel sales.

Right now, Clean Energy fuels a thousand fleets, about over 50,000 vehicles a day.

We have over 600 fueling stations across North America, almost every 300 miles.

There is no range anxiety like with all the other alternative fuels.

We have what’s called time-fill fueling (private), where you fill up all the tractors at the same time.

So, every morning, all the drivers have to do is pull in, get into their cabs, and pull away with a full tank of gas.

We also offer a public-access fast-fill station upfront.

We fill 12 gallons per minute, 15-minute fills.

It’s a very similar experience to any other fueling station that you may pull up to.

Renewable natural gas happens to be the cleanest alternative fuel available, able to reduce carbon intensity by 300%.

NOx by 90%, which is the smog and soot in the air that creates asthma.

And it’s available today, not 10, 15, or 20 years from now.

It’s available today and for the foreseeable future.

Some of my clients are the biggest trucking companies in the country.

Sometimes, the largest in the world, like UPS, the FedEx, Walmart.

They run thousands of tractor trailers and burn a lot of fuel.

They’re interested in looking to transitioning over to an alternative fuel.

I strongly feel that the future of heavy-duty transportation is renewable natural gas."
