Renewables & electricity
In Nigeria, we are developing rural solar electrification solar projects, notably through our distributed generation business.
Gas & green gas
In Nigeria, we have an interest in the Nigeria LNG natural gas liquefaction plant, from which we purchase LNG under long-term supply contracts.
Exploration & Production
In Nigeria, the Company's oil production is mainly offshore. Of the 31 permits in which we hold interests, we operate 5: PML 2/3/4 with the Akpo and Egina fields, OML 99 with the Ikike field, and OML 102, 139 and 138.
We are also present onshore, notably through the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) joint venture.
We are also pursuing carbon-neutral initiatives, including a solarization project on OML 58 and the cessation of routine flaring on OML 100 as of December 2023. We have achieved zero routine flaring in all our upstream operations in Nigeria. Nigeria was also one of the first countries in which we carried out campaigns to detect and measure methane emissions on oil and gas installations, using our state-of-the-art drone-mounted AUSEA technology.
Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products
In Nigeria, we operate two lubricant blending plants, and we possess several petroleum product depots.

In Nigeria, we retail lubricants as well as petroleum and petrochemical products to our business customers and we market our fuels, products and related services through our network of around 530 service stations, where we also sell decentralized solar solutions for low-income populations.
