Soccer Together: Ball Kids by TotalEnergies

It’s my first time being in a stadium, the noise and everything. It’s a dream come true. It's like being a star. This is the first time I left my country to come here. It is really exciting for me, because I have discovered new places here in Morocco.

When we came here, we met people from Senegal, Morocco, South Africa. The girls from Morocco are really cool! There was a nice cohesion between us.We were able to discuss and laugh together, despite the diversity. You can interact with them, even though the language is hard to speak with them. But we also try and speak together.

Not a lot of children get the opportunity in South Africa to go to other countries, so everyone was actually pretty excited with me. Wow, I was shocked, surprised and excited at the same time.

My passion for football came from my family members. I go to the stadium with my family, especially my grandfather. He likes football a lot. Football brings us all together. The race, the religion, the language, despite all that, we will still be in the stadium and support our teams. We’re going to be together in the stadium. When we got near the pitch, we we’re able to see the professional players. It was a dream for me to be that close! I was in the middle of the stadium, surrounded by many fans! It was amazing you know, being in the midst of people who are cheering and happy – it felt super amazing to give back the balls to the players.

The ball would often come out of my position. I had to jump, get the ball back, throw them another one... It was a great feeling! I was extremely happy, super extremely happy! I was impressed, honestly I was really happy. It was a lot of happiness and excitement! In 3 years, I want to be a football champion!
