Our renewable electricity production in France (MW)

This map shows TotalEnergies' renewable electricity generation and battery storage capacity in megawatts at the end of July 2024 for each region of France, specifying the origin of this renewable electricity: wind, solar or hydro.

The renewable electricity production capacity by region is:

  • 250 megawatts in Hauts-de-France, from wind, solar and battery storage;
  • 35 megawatts in Normandy: mainly wind and solar power;
  • 376 megawatts in the Grand Est region, predominantly wind, then solar, supplemented by battery storage capacity;
  • 91 megawatts in the Île-de-France region, with solar power and battery storage;
  • 84 megawatts in Brittany, mainly wind, then solar;
  • 75 megawatts in Pays de la Loire, solar and wind;
  • 79 megawatts in Centre-Val de Loire, exclusively solar ;
  • 18 megawatts in Bourgogne Franche-Comté, exclusively solar;
  • 221 megawatts in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, predominantly solar, then wind;
  • 115 megawatts in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, mostly solar, then wind and hydro;
  • 343 megawatts in Occitanie, predominantly solar, then wind and hydro;
  • 87 megawatts in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, predominantly solar, then hydro.

This map also illustrates the renewable electricity generation capacity in megawatts of France's overseas departments and regions, specifying the origin of this renewable electricity:

  • Wind
  • Hydraulic
  • Solar
  • Battery storage

The renewable electricity production capacity is:

  • 65 megawatts in Guadeloupe, from wind, solar and battery storage;
  • 37 megawatts in Martinique, from solar, wind and battery storage sources;
  • 9 megawatts in French Guiana, exclusively solar-generated;
  • 4 megawatts in Mayotte, exclusively from battery storage;
  • 61 megawatts in Reunion, from solar, wind and battery storage sources;
  • 97 megawatts in New Caledonia, mainly solar, then wind, then battery storage.
