Renewables & electricity
In the UK, we’re making major investments in electricity from renewable sources and are developing offshore wind projects that can deliver over 5 GW of renewable power this decade.
Our Seagreen project (1.1 GW) off the east coast of Scotland provides enough green energy to power up to 1.6 million UK homes.
We’re developing the Erebus floating offshore wind farm off the coast of Wales, Outer Dowsing (1.15 GW) off the Lincolnshire coast, and the West of Orkney wind farm (2 GW) in the north of Scotland, as well as around 600 MW of solar projects across the UK.
As part of our Integrated Power strategy in the UK, we own 50% of West Burton Energy, which has a 1.3 GW gas-fired combined-cycle power station and a 49 MW battery storage system in the UK. With a total capacity of 1.3 GW, the plant is a highly flexible and efficient asset, supplying power on demand and mitigating the intermittency problems of renewable energy sources.
Saft, the leading battery company, is a wholly owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies and also operates a plant in the UK.
Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products
At our production plant in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, we manufacture, market and distribute lubricants for more than 400 industrial applications, including use in aviation. We also operate a dedicated bitumen plant in Preston, Lancashire.
We are increasing the energy efficiency of our lubricants and solvents and introducing new product ranges that use renewable biopolymers.

BtoB customers
TotalEnergies Gas & Power is a major BtoB energy supplier, providing our UK customers with gas, power, renewable energy and carbon offsetting options.
Established in 1987, we supply around 290,000 sites across the UK from SMEs through to large businesses and public sector contracts. Around half of our electricity comes from renewable sources.
BtoC customers
Our service station network continues to expand across the UK. Our stations offer the public and business customers our full line-up of energy efficient fuels and lubricants, as well as a broad range of products and services, including electric vehicle (EV) charge points.
As part of our joint venture called Source, we will deploy up to 3,000 high power electric vehicle charge points across the UK and Ireland over the next five years.
TotalEnergies also currently operates Source London, the largest EV charging network in London, which includes more than 2,500 on-street charge points. We power this charging network with electricity entirely from renewable sources.
