Location: Singapore
Partners: TotalEnergies, Bolloré Logistics
Main activity: Solar power distributed generation
Commissioning: 2020
TotalEnergies has been active on the Asian rooftop solar market for commercial and industrial customers since 2018. In 2020, it completed the solarization of French transport & logistics group, Bolloré Logistics’ Green Hub in Singapore, helping to significantly reduce the warehouse’s CO2 consumption and environmental footprint.
A solar project for cleaner energy
TotalEnergies has completed the solar rooftop of Bolloré Logistics’ site in Singapore, helping the global supply chain player to meet one’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
TotalEnergies installed over 2,400 solar panels on the roof of the Bolloré Logistics' so-called Green Hub. It is the first warehouse in Asia to receive Green Mark Platinum certification, launched in 2005 by the Singaporean authorities to promote the construction of green buildings using a sustainable development approach, and LEED Gold certification, an environmental certification for buildings launched by the non-profit U.S. Green Building Council in 2000.
With a capacity of nearly 1MW, the PV system generates an estimated 1.3GWh of electricity per year. The project has helped to reduce the facility’s CO2 consumption by nearly 11,500 metric tons, the equivalent annual CO2 absorption of approximately 120,000 trees.
The project is one of many examples and showcases TotalEnergies’ ambition for solar projects in Asia. Already present in Singapore, as well as India, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam, TotalEnergies has achieved 100 MW in on-site solar projects in less than two years.
