Refining & Chemicals
In Saudi Arabia, we are shareholders in the SATORP joint venture alongside Aramco. SATORP operates one of the world's largest refining-petrochemical platforms in Jubail. In 2022, SATORP's refinery received international ISCC+ certification, which recognizes the circular and sustainable nature of its feedstocks and products.
We are also developing the Amiral petrochemical project, in partnership with Aramco: a world-scale steam cracker (1.65 Mt/year of ethylene) and its associated petrochemical units, integrated into the SATORP platform.
Oil and biofuels
In 2023, we produced Middle East's first ISCC+ certified Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by coprocessing used cooking oil on the SATORP platform.
Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products
We operate a lubricants plant in Saudi Arabia.
Renewables & electricity
We are a shareholder in the SAFEER joint venture, which develops decentralized solar projects for industrial and commercial customers. We have also announced plans to develop the Wadi Ad Dawasir solar farm in 2023, through a consortium with Toyota Tshuho and Altaaqa.
